Earlier Start Date for Former Woodside EVP Robert Cole as Beach Energy's MD
Australia's oil and gas exploration and production company Beach Energy Ltd. reported Monday the commencement of Robert Cole as its Managing Director March 10.
As originally announced, Cole was scheduled to start June 1, or such earlier date as was available and agreed. Cole’s commitments have now altered allowing for this earlier start date.
Reg Nelson will cease as managing director and as a director of Beach on the same date.
Beach Chairman, Glenn Davis, said “We are extremely pleased that Rob has accepted the Board’s invitation for early commencement as Beach’s new managing director. Rob’s significant experience in the oil and gas industry, and particularly in relation to strategy and corporate development, will be invaluable to Beach as we navigate the current period of oil price volatility and position the company for sustainable growth over the longer term.
I would also like to extend the Board’s deep gratitude to outgoing managing director, Reg Nelson, for his significant contribution to Beach. Over the past 23 years Reg has provided vision and leadership to transform Beach from a micro-cap explorer to an S&P/ASX 100 company and Australia’s largest onshore oil producer. We wish Reg all the best for his future endeavors.”
Terms of Cole’s employment and his biography are outlined in the ASX announcement Nov. 27, 2014.
